Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 15, 2026

Birdie does not require an account, has no ads, does not sell your data, and does not send your scorecard content to Pragmatiq. The app uses privacy-friendly analytics to help us understand and improve app reliability, features, and purchase flows.

Introduction

Birdie ("the App") is developed by Pragmatiq ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information Birdie stores, what may sync through Apple services, and what analytics we use to improve the App.

We separate the scorecard content you enter from anonymous app analytics. Pragmatiq does not receive the course names, player names, scores, or round notes you enter in Birdie.

Scorecard Content You Enter

Birdie allows you to enter information while using the App, including:

This scorecard content is stored by the App on your device. If iCloud is enabled for Birdie, Apple may sync this content across your devices using iCloud/CloudKit under your Apple account. Pragmatiq does not operate a scorecard-content server and does not receive or read your course names, player names, hole-by-hole scores, or round notes.

Local Storage

Birdie stores your round history, scores, and settings locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you delete the App, locally stored Birdie data may be removed from that device, subject to Apple's operating-system and iCloud behavior.

iCloud Sync

If you have iCloud enabled on your device, Birdie uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your round data across your Apple devices. This sync is:

Pragmatiq does not have access to your iCloud account or your iCloud-stored scorecard content, and cannot read, modify, or delete that synced content.

App Analytics

Birdie uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand how the App is used and to improve reliability, feature quality, onboarding, purchase flows, and Apple Watch support.

These analytics are intended to be anonymous and aggregated. Birdie may send app usage events and non-content details such as the area of the app being used, whether the app is running on iPhone or Apple Watch, selected round setup counts, feature screens viewed, purchase or restore outcomes, and diagnostic error categories or codes.

Birdie's app-defined analytics are not intended to include course names, player names, hole-by-hole scores, round notes, email addresses, Apple account information, precise location, contacts, photos, or Health data.

TelemetryDeck's software may also receive technical metadata needed to process analytics, such as a hashed device/vendor identifier, session identifier, app version, operating-system version, device model, locale or region, time zone, screen information, and similar runtime details.

Analytics Is Not Advertising Tracking

Birdie does not contain ads, does not sell your data, and does not use analytics to build advertising profiles. We use analytics to understand app usage and improve the product, not to follow you across other companies' apps or websites.

Website Analytics

Birdie's public website pages may use Google Analytics and App Store click tracking to understand page performance and whether visitors tap through to the App Store. These website analytics are separate from your scorecard content in the App.

Third-Party Services

Birdie may use the following services as part of the App or website:

We do not integrate advertising networks or social media SDKs into the Birdie app.

Children's Privacy

Birdie is not directed to children under 13. Pragmatiq does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and address the issue.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will post the updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
